Augmented Reality Mirror
What is an AR Mirror?
An AR mirror (Augmented Reality Mirror) is a smart interactive screen powered by Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence, designed to create immersive and personalized digital experiences. Widely deployed in retail, pop-up stores, and experiential marketing activations, AR mirrors enable virtual try-ons, AI transformations in real-time, gamified interactions, and engaging branded experiences that boost customer engagement in retail, in museums and in any touristic places.
How much does an AR Mirror cost?
An AR mirror typically costs between $20,000 and $50,000, depending on features, hardware, and customization. Entry-level solutions can start around $20,000, while more advanced installations with AI, analytics, and custom integrations can reach $60,000 to $100,000 or more.
Pricing also depends on whether the AR mirror is used for a temporary event or a fixed installation. Event deployments usually benefit from special pricing, making them more cost-effective for short-term activations. To reduce costs further, we offer an easy plug-and-play solution that can be set up quickly. For permanent installations or more complex setups, we typically provide a dedicated setup manager to ensure smooth deployment and optimal performance.
What is the timeline to design and deploy an AR Mirror?
The typical timeline to design and deploy an AR mirror is 3 to 4 weeks, including design, development, testing, and installation. However, with clear requirements and prepared assets, deployment can be much faster. We have successfully delivered an AR mirror project in just two weeks, proving that rapid implementation is possible without compromising quality.
How AR Mirrors transform Retail & Fashion?
AR mirrors replace the friction of traditional try-ons with instant, immersive experiences. No changing rooms, no queues, no product handling. A shopper or event guest simply steps in front of the screen, and the mirror overlays clothing, accessories, makeup, or branded visuals directly onto their reflection in real time.
In retail, this means customers can try dozens of items in seconds, explore colour variants without touching inventory, and receive AI-driven style suggestions tailored to their preferences. The result is longer dwell time, higher purchase confidence, and fewer returns.
How AR Mirrors transform branded events?
At events, AR mirrors become moments worth sharing. Whether it’s a branded filter at a product launch, virtual costume overlays at a brand activation, or a personalised outfit builder at a fashion show, guests engage longer and organically amplify the experience across social media.
Beyond engagement, every interaction generates first-party data — which products were tried, how long, by whom — giving brands actionable insight that traditional displays simply can’t provide.
From flagship stores to pop-ups to live event floors, our AR mirrors turn passive browsing into active participation.
How AR Mirrors transform museums and touristic places?
Museums and tourist destinations are built on one thing: making history feel personal. AR mirrors turn passive observation into hands-on participation. Visitors don’t just look at artefacts, they step into the story.
In front of the mirror, a visitor can try on a Roman centurion’s armour, wear a medieval nobleman’s robe, or dress as an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. Beyond costumes, interactive learning games built into the display, quizzes, historical puzzles, guided discovery challenges, make exhibits compelling for every age group, from school trips to solo travellers. Visitors leave with knowledge they’ve lived, not just read.
How AR Mirrors generate organic visibility on Social Media
When visitors share their photos dressed as a Viking warrior or an ancient pharaoh, they become organic ambassadors for the venue. Each post reaches a brand new audience with authentic, personal content that no paid campaign can replicate, invaluable visibility for museums and tourist sites with limited marketing budgets and the potential for viral reach.

References Cases
Each AR Mirror case is splitted in two part, software and hardware. We are always doing the AR software, but for hardware it depends. If the installation is light and easily deployable, we will manage it. For more complex fixed installation that imply custom constructions we work together with Bweez in France and Mirror.it in Italy.
FAQ
What is the difference between an AR mirror and a regular screen?
A regular screen displays static or video content. An AR mirror uses Augmented Reality and AI to interact with the person standing in front of it in real time, overlaying virtual elements directly onto their reflection, creating a personalised and immersive experience.
Does an AR mirror work without an internet connection?
Yes. Unlike others, our AR mirror can run locally without an internet connection. We also focus on no user-data collection. Connectivity is only required once to load the filter. Once loaded it can runs weeks without interrupt. Even to get your photo via QR code, we have developed a very custom and unique “Offline QR” solution.
What hardware is needed to install an AR mirror?
An AR mirror typically includes a large display screen, a camera, and a dedicated processing unit. Our setup is the easiest to install and can be adapted to almost any space, from a retail store to a museum gallery. Our iOS app running the AR experience can be used on an iPhone linked via HDMI to a screen, an iPad + webcam or a Mac Mini + webcam.
How accurate is the real-time body tracking?
Very accurate. Our AR mirrors use advanced AI body tracking to detect posture, movements, and facial features in milliseconds, ensuring virtual overlays stay perfectly aligned even as the visitor moves. Our solution s the opposite of a static AI Photobooth. It is a living, real-time AR and AI effect and filter screen.
Can AR mirrors be used outdoors or only indoors?
AR mirrors are primarily designed for indoor use, where lighting conditions can be controlled for optimal tracking accuracy. Outdoor installations are possible with adapted hardware and protective enclosures.
Is an AR mirror suitable for children and school groups?
Absolutely. AR mirrors are intuitive and require no technical knowledge to use. Interactive games and historical experiences make them particularly engaging for younger audiences and school visits.
Can the AR mirror be customised with our brand identity?
Yes. Every AR mirror experience is fully customisable, from the interface design and branded filters to the virtual costumes and interactive content. The experience is built around your brand and your audience.
What types of virtual try-ons are possible with an AR mirror?
AR mirrors support a wide range of virtual try-ons including clothing, accessories, makeup, hats, glasses, and full historical or themed costumes. Custom content can be developed for any industry or use case.
What data does an AR mirror collect, and how is it stored?
AR mirrors can capture anonymised engagement data such as interaction time, most tried items, and peak usage hours. No personal data or images are stored without explicit consent, in full compliance with GDPR. We designed our AR Mirror to be almost fully offline and with no personal user-data collection. Except the mail form at the final step if the brand want to get new customers subscribing to their newsletter.
How does an AR mirror help reduce product returns?
By letting customers virtually try products before purchasing, AR mirrors significantly increase purchase confidence. When shoppers know how something looks on them, they are far less likely to return it. It also encourage to try clothes they would have not think about.
What is the average engagement time in front of an AR mirror?
Engagement times vary by context, but AR mirrors typically hold attention for 2 to 5 minutes on average, significantly longer than traditional displays or static signage. Note that if there is a crowded line, we have designed our AR Mirror to work for a 30-60 second experience, so the next person don’t have to wait.
How long does it take to install and set up an AR mirror?
Installation typically takes less than a day. Once the hardware is in place, content setup and customisation can be completed remotely, making deployment fast and flexible. We usually design and deploy an AR Mirror in 2-4 weeks.
How do visitors share their AR mirror photos on social media?
Visitors can instantly share their AR mirror photos via QR code, or direct social media integration (Instagram stories, TikTok post, Snapchat, Whatsapp message, etc.). The process takes seconds and requires no app download. Once you have scanned the QR on the AR Mirror, all the process continues on your phone, on your browser.
Can we track how many photos were shared from our AR mirror?
Yes. Our analytics dashboard gives you full visibility into sharing activity, engagement metrics, and content performance, so you can measure the real social media impact of your AR mirror. Our dashboard and back-office also allows you to change filter (e.g. during Xmas, Valentines, Mother’s Day, etc) and contact us instantly with our 24/7 included support.
